Love came – down at Christmas

CHRISTMAS!!!! What a beautiful occasion to observe! Just the word seems to spell its magic all around us long before the actual day comes. And the chilling winter seems all the more alluring because the warmth of the season makes up to all the numbness of the cold cold weather.

Every December, every year, Christmas is a time when we all gather together for some fellowship, for merriment, for a lot of delicacies and the like, but I wonder if all of us make it a point to wish Jesus and thank the Almighty for the gift of His Son who is the King of Kings and the Redeemer of the world.

For us Christians, it is that time of the year when things are loveliest, when the festive mood fills the heart of every home, it is that month of the year when we as believers try to purify our lives and stay more sane. Its like there are lesser fights when this special time of the year draws near. Lighting our homes and beautifying it with the nicest decorative items, gifting each other with things that warm the heart are a few things that make the occasion more special.

Soft melodious music, the appealing trees, the mind blowing decorative items, lights that never seem to lose its glow, the ever tasty cakes, stars that will always shine bright, bells that jingle all the way, greeting cards that never cease to lose its significance, the ever generous santa. We have it all! But above all these beautiful things, the secret key of happiness behind the joys surrounding Christmas lies in the birth of Jesus, which is a perfect reflection of our Father’s unconditional love, which no other love can match.

Sure, there are things that makes Christmas all the more joyous but its truly the gift of love that makes all of it complete. And because Christmas is one Big occasion that just does not pass us by without leaving good memories behind, it is only fair that we gift our hearts to Jesus on His birthday with all sincerity and allow Him to be born in our hearts, our homes, and our lives because Christmas is the reason why we will always live. Love that is true and unconditional, Love that enshrines us, Love that never fails, Love came down at Christmas.
