Nagaland:  17 new cases reported, COVID-19 tally rises to 451

Seventeen news cases were reported from Nagaland Monday evening taking the state’s total COVID-19 tally to 451.


The latest addition came from Tuensang Quarantine centre,  a state health authority informed. 


“17 fresh positive cases of COVID-19 have detected in Tuensang QC,” informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom on a Twitter update at 6:30PM on June 29. 


Earlier in the day, the Minister informed that there were 19 new cases as well as 4 recoveries. 


With the latest update, Nagaland so far has 451 confirmed COVID-19 cases, out of which 283 are active while the rest – 168 are designated officially as recovered. 


The state is yet to report any death resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
