Nagaland: 70 new COVID-19 cases detected

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 29 (MExN): 70 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Nagaland on October 29 bringing the total number cases in the State to 8,894.  Of the new cases, 46 are from Dimapur, 19 from Kohima, 3 from Mon and 1 each from Longleng and Zunheboto. This includes 24 armed forces/security personnel, 6 returnees/travelers, and 40 traced contacts. Meanwhile, 150 patients have recovered. The recoveries include 102 from Dimapur, 34 from Kohima, 4 from Zunheboto and 5 each from Mon and Peren. The number of active cases in the state now stands at 1,758. The number of deaths due to COVID-19 has now risen to 29 in the State.  According to data from the Nagaland Health Department, traced contacts now constitute 29% of all cases. 45% of the cases are from the armed forces/security personnel. 21% are from returnees and travelers, while frontline workers constitute 5% of the cases.
