Nagas called to stand united

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 14 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Khango) celebrated the 77th Naga Independence Day at Council Headquarters, Thamsao designated camp on August 14. The programme was graced by President Lieut Gen (Retd) Khango Konyak as the chief guest.  

Hokato Vusshe, Ato Kilonser, who spoke on the present Naga political scenario, dwelled at length upon the contemporary political issue affecting the Naga people. He further affirmed that, the Nagas are independent people since from time immemorial and said that the Nagas are asking to India to leave them alone to determine their own future in consonance with their distinct identity.   

He said that the NSCN-K (Khango) will never fail nor betray the Nagas and commit to stand till the goal of Nagas is achieved. He appealed to the Nagas to stand united and work cohesively in every aspect so as to bring a logical conclusion towards the protracted Naga political issue.
