NCC Cadets introduced to weapon training and shooting practice

Dimapur, July 19 (MExN): Annual training Camp of No 1 Nagaland Air Squadron (NAS) NCC is underway at Pilgrim School Dimapur.

A press release issued by the NCC Dimapur stated that as a part of NCC training, the cadets were introduced to weapon training and shooting practice under the guidance of Sgt Dinesh Singh, Sgt Sahoo & Corporal Vikram. The cadets were given training on basics of weapon handling and shooting. Weapon training and shooting are one of the most exciting and eagerly anticipated events of a NCC camp, it added.

The release also stated that the young cadets were keenly waiting for this opportunity for a long time. “They were raring to try their hands in weapon handling and shooting. Though it was their first attempt to shoot at a target, most of them were able to hit the bull’s eye and are now looking forward to have a another go at the target practice, ”it added.

It further stated that weapon training and shooting would not have been possible without the support of Nagaland Armed Police Training Centre, Chümoükedima who made their shooting range available for the NCC cadets.
