Wokha, May 26 (MExN): The Wokha region Nationalist Democratic and Progressive Party (NDPP) conducted a felicitation programme for Dr Chumben Murry MLA 38 Assembly Constituency which was held at Wokha District VCCA & VDBs hall on 25 May.
This was stated in a press release issued by Abenthung Kikon, where he mentioned that Dr Chumben Murry had said the recent political merger was done constitutionally and it has nothing wrong with it. What’s more he reasoned that it was an electoral necessity with an aim to strengthen the leadership of Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland, for good governance while honouring the Naga political solution.
Murry said that he will work with the party principle and ideology and assured to strengthen the party and the interest for various developments in the state.
He also claimed that nepotism has tremendously come down while VIP culture has been removed and there is more development and progress in the state within the four years of the NDPP lead government in the state.
What’s more he maintained that a regional party can only speak firmly on the Naga issue which he opined that NDPP is the right political party to speak firmly. Meanwhile he said that NDPP is regional in spirit, National in outlook and global in action.
The press release additionally included Mhathung Yanthan’s statement, wherein he thanked the 21 legislators who recently joined the NDPP. He said that with the coming of dynamic leaders to the party, it will bring a magnificent shift in Naga political and social progress. He informed that NDPP is the only refined political party for Nagaland stating that NDPP leaders are refined and seasoned in the political field and understand the goodness of the Naga society.
TL Merry, Vice president NDPP, CEB and convenor reorganization committee, Wokha region, in a short speech said that NDPP is a gather based party where it works for the grassroots level. He said that the joining of Dr Chumben Murry to the family of NDPP will achieve greater heights for the people, party and more development. He called for strengthening the party for a decisive and not for a divisive among the party workers, the press release said.
Meanwhile John Ezung president NDPP Wokha region in his presidential note warmly welcomed Dr Chumben Murry, while he assured to work stiffly for the party development and interest.
