NSCN (IM) against set up of UNLF designated camp in Naga territory

DIMAPUR, MARCH 8 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has protested against the setting up of a UNLF/MPA designated camp in Naga territory in Manipur.

An MIP release from the NSCN (IM) on Friday said the UNLF (Pambei) designated camp is being set up in Naga territory in Manipur without the consent or knowledge of the Naga public and has condemned such “reckless intrusion.”

Stating that the setting up designated camps was handled in a haphazard manner without considering the geopolitical sentiment by the Government of India and the UNLF, the NSCN (IM) has questioned if the GoI was trying to incite communal war between the Meiteis and the Nagas.  “All these confusions should be done away with lest undesirable consequences arise,” it stated.

The NSCN (IM) also reiterated that it is the primary duty of NSCN to protect its people and geopolitical issue. This encompasses various aspects such as safeguarding the rights and well-being of the Nagas, defending against external threats and preserving territorial integrity of Nagalim. By doing this, NSCN aims to create a stable and secure environment where its territory is not intruded by unauthorized people or organizations, it emphasized.
