Jakhama, September 25 (MExN): The Department of Business Administration, St Joseph's College (Autonomous), Jakhama hosted the 14th Convergence Fest under the theme ‘Progressing to Greatest’ on September 22 and 23. 

Lichan Humtsoe, Entrepreneur and founder, CEO of Ete Coffee, graced the occasion as the guest speaker, stated a press release received here.  Humtsoe, in his speech gave a very strong message and encouraged the students to come out of their comfort zone and take up challenges if they want to progress further. He also shared valuable insights and experiences in the field of entrepreneurship and leadership.

The event saw participation from seven colleges from Kohima and Dimapur, including Patkai Christian College, Sazolie College, Nagaland University, Norman Putsure College, Kohima Science College, Don Bosco College, and Kros College.

The teams compete in various events such as Business Plan, Mock Interview, Photography and Art of dance on the first day. The second day witnessed competitions in Smartphone Movie, Art, Mad Ads and Mr & Ms Convergence. 

Panel discussion speakers included Namang T Chang, Founder of Modern Myriad, Sinlo Kemp, Brand Designer and Strategist, Rohan K Abraham, Founder of India Trails. It was moderated by MD Tabrej, Asst. Professor, Department of Business Administration, SJC (A), Jakhama.

The event commenced with countdown prelude video and theme music followed by Rev Fr Peter Solo, the Dean of Science, St Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakahama, invoking God’s blessings upon the program. A welcome address by K Zubemo Humtsoe, Director, Department of Business Administration, sets the tone for the event, followed by Honnyei T Konyak, Convenor of the 14th Convergence Fest, introducing the events. 

During the two-day mega event, English Department of St Joseph's College (Autonomous), Jakhama, emerged as the Overall Champions while Norman Putsure College, Dimapur was recognized as the Best Disciplined team Award. Audiences were also entertained by some of the rising and renowned artists in the likes of Akhrieze Lhoushe, Tia Jamir and Z World.
