Restore the two bypass routes linking Dimapur & Kohima: NSF

DIMAPUR, JULY 5 (MExN): In the wake of the July 4 tragic incident at NH-29 where two person were killed and three grievously injured, the Naga Students' Federation (NSF) has called for immediate restoration of the two major bypass routes- one along NH- 29 at 7th Mile, Chümoukedima-Shokhuvi-Pimla-Mhainamtsi- Pungwla - Jharnapani - Medziphema and the other along Kohima- Zhadima - Tsosinyu - Nuiland - Dimapur for the convenience of the public and other travelers.

Expressing pain over the tragic incident, the NSF in a press release expressed dismay on the failure of the competent authority and NHIDCL to ensure safety of the citizens along the said highway. 

Towards this, it appealed to the concerned authority and the NHIDCL to immediately set up all safety measures and other vital infrastructures in place so that such fatal incidents are averted in the near future. 

It meanwhile appealed to all the commuters plying through the NH-29 route to be informed of the travel advisory issued by the concerned authority and accordingly comply with the same for safety reasons and necessary precaution.
