Satoi Range GBs commits to sponsor students’ education

SATOI (ZUNHEBOTO), MARCH 27 (MExN): In a significant decision, the Satoi Range GBs Association has resolved to sponsor school admissions, fees, housing rents, and rations for students studying at the Government High School Satoi.

This, among others, was a resolution passed during a consultative meeting of the Association held on March 26 at the Satoi Headquarter under Zunheboto district. All the GBs of eleven villages under Satoi Range attended the meeting.

To this end, it appealed all citizens to take advantage of this opportunity of free assistance to the student community.

Meanwhile, the Satoi Range GBs Association also reaffirmed its earlier resolution that all government employees in establishments or departments within the Satoi Range must be regularly present during office hours, with no tolerance for proxies.

Absentees will be reported to higher authorities, it unanimously resolved.

The Association also directed all the Village Councils (VCs) and Village Education Committees (VEC) to strictly the enforce the prohibition of government teachers engaging in proxy teaching within their jurisdiction. 

In the event of failure by the VCs or VEC, the Satoi Range GBs Association will directly intervene and report to higher authorities for necessary action, it added. 

The Association also noted that as per its information, there are only nine government teachers at Government High School Satoi and this shortage has resulted in poor students’ enrollment.

There is an urgent additional of four Graduate Teachers in Mathematics, Science, English and General Teachers to run the institution, it said. 

Hence, it appealed the School Education Department to deploy adequate number of government teachers as early as possible.

Meanwhile, stating that various ongoing development activities in the region and many government projects are in the pipeline, the Association resolved that no member of the public or any village should hinder any development activities to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to specifications in work orders, no member of the public or any village should hinder any development activities. 

“They should cooperate with government agencies within their respective jurisdictions to facilitate smooth development in the Satoi Range,” stated a press release from Satoi Range GBs Association Chairman Kaito Zhimo Akukau and General Secretary Kakheto Aye Akukatou.
