Kohima DFO Chisayi addressing TSU tree plantation drive on April 27.
Kohima, April 27 (MExN): Commemorating 75 year jubilee, the Tsütuonuomia Students' Union (TSU) in collaboration with Kohima Forest Division under National Clean Air Programme (NCAP), today organised a Tree plantation Drive along the stretch of Seithogei.
Around 400 tree sapling of different species planted on the day.
The plantation drive aimed at spreading awareness on environmental issues “which is becoming a grave concern in recent times, to stabilize and protect our lands from further possible degradations and to beautify the treasured areas with a greener and favourable looks.”
Kohima DFO Chisayi, T. Khel Council general secretary Thepfuzakie Suohu and TSU Jubilee Organizing Committee convenor Kevisevolie Kevin Solo also spoke at the programme.
The formal function was chaired by TSU president Mhasisetuo Solo.
