DIMAPUR, OCT 29 (MExN): The Chairman and General Secretary of the Western Yimchunger Hoho in a letter to the organizers of the ethnic fashion contest ‘Down the Ages’ Swu Multi-purpose Welfare Society contented that the Tikhirs should not be allowed to participate in the event as Tikhir tribe came under the Yimchunger tribe.
The western Yimchunger Hoho told the organizers that the Tikhirs should participate under the Yimchunger tribe instead.
While, on the other hand, the Tikhir had warned the organizers that if they were not allowed to participate in the show then they would file a case in the court against the organizers, sources said.
Meanwhile, the organizers reportedly came to a decision that all participants taking part in the contest would not be identified by their tribal names but according to their serial numbers.
