DIMAPUR, MARCH 14 (MExN): The ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), Don Bosco Job Placement Network, India, organized its first job fair event in collaboration with Noune Resort, Chabou & co, JCB, TATTVA and Neo Tata Motors at AIDA, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School campus, Dimapur on March 13.

The main objectives of the event were to provide job opportunities to the young people in and around Dimapur and also to create awareness about the jobs available in the locality and the State. 

Rev. Fr. Stephen A C, Principal, DBHSS, Dimapur invoked God’s blessings on all the participants at the inaugural function.  Rev. Fr. Roy George, Executive Director, AIDA in his welcome address spoke about the job placement initiative  done by Don Bosco Job Placement Network in India and Nagaland through AIDA. He emphasised on the importance of choosing the correct career that would offer self satisfaction while carrying out one’s responsibility.

Rev. Fr. Joseph TT, Associate Director, AIDA guided the candidates with a session on ‘Tips on Choosing Career’. The session presented 10 basic points while choosing a career that would give one satisfaction, effectiveness and personal well-being in the choice.  

Sebi Chacko, Don Bosco Job placement Coordinator, AIDA, spoke on the vision of the job placement network and how both skilled and semi–skilled youth can get help from Don Bosco Job Placement Network for finding the right job. 

Akhako Kadate, HR- Chabou & Co in his message pointed out the various skills required for a candidate to get recruited and spoke on what are the qualities an employer looks for in an employee. He added that the candidates should always be updated with the requirements in skills and other IT knowledge.

The programme also provided a platform for the candidates to interact with HR officials present for the programme. In the interviews conducted by the organizations, 26 candidates were shortlisted out of the 40 who registered and attended the programme.
