Yung Aung led NSCN (K) claims responsibility for ambush on AR

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 5 (MExN): The Yung Aung led NSCN (K) has claimed responsibility for a joint ambush carried out on a convoy of the 19th Assam Rifles in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday morning.

A press release from the MIP of the Yung Aung led NSCN (K) said that the ambush was carried out along with the ULFA-I and RPF/PLA at 9:00am on October 4 near Tenmo village, on Manmao road in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The press release claimed that the ambush killed “two on the spot and injuring many others.” 

“For decades the WESEAN people struggled with blood and tears to protect and defend our freedom enduring endless persecution and torture in the hands of the Indian authorities namely its government, its armed forces and its intelligence services,” the press release stated. 

It added that “India must fully realize that neither its forceful occupation nor its draconian laws nor its reckless disregard for human rights can break the will of the WESEAN people for self-determination.”
