Wokha, December 17 (MExN): ATMA Wokha Chukitong Block conducted various activities at Chukitong on December 12. Activities conducted were "mobilization of Farmers Group (SHG)", where Zeno Therapy Okho (SHG) was formed consisting of 13 members. Demonstration on use of neem oil was also conducted at Nyanbemo's pea garden by Nzani, ATM, Chukitong Block.
A press release from Abeni Patton, BTM Chukitong stated Nzani talked about various insects such as Aphids, white flies, mealy bugs, moth, cabbage worms etc which can be controlled by spraying of neem oil.
Demonstration on spraying of neem oil on Aphids that were present on pea was done. Fishery farm school was established at Chukitong with Nyanbemo as the farm school teacher. After the programme, neem oil was distributed to farmers and oil cakes and fishing net was given to the farm school. Altogether 26 farmers (13 SHG and 13 farm School members) and 3 ATMA officials attended the programme.
