Kohima, January 14 (MExN): Chief Minister TR Zeliang has extended warm greetings to the Chakhesang people on the occasion of Sükrünye festival. In a message, the CM said Sükrünye festival has a very significant meaning in the life of Chakhesang community as it marks the sanctification of young people and invoking God’s blessing for bountiful blessing in the days to come. Sükrünye festival will be an occasion for the Chakhesang people to revitalize rich cultures and traditions and instill values in the heart of young people, he added. Meanwhile, Zeliang wished that the Almighty God will bless the Chakhesangs abundantly and help them usher into a year of peace, unity and prosperity.
