Dimapur Police subsidiary canteen inaugurated

Dimapur, October 26 (MExN): The Dimapur Police subsidiary canteen under Central Police Canteen, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India was inaugurated on October 26 by Wabang Jamir, IPS, IGP (Range), Nagaland. Other present during the inauguration are Liremo T. Lotha, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Vilhousie Peseyie, DCP Zone I, Dr. KPA Ilyas, IPS, DCP Zone II and host of other Police Officers.  

Wabang Jamir, IPS shared his thoughts with the police personnel about the need to live within one’s means and the importance of saving for the future. He spoke of developing a virtuous cycle of saving money which would result in not only monetary benefit but also the reduction of bad habits. He encouraged police officers and all personnel to develop the attitude of deferred gratification through financial discipline and proper planning for saving money for tomorrow.  

Wabang Jamir, IPS congratulated the Dimapur Police Commissionerate for taking the initiative in opening a canteen and expressed his hope that it would help in improving the overall quality of life of the police personnel.  

Liremo T. Lotha, IPS talked about the Canteen being taken up as welfare measure for the Police Commissionerate personnel and expressed his appreciation to all ranks who contributed to the establishment of the canteen. He stated that the Canteen would be fully automated with Smart Cards issued to the Unit personnel.
