ICAR organizes training on agricultural model village development 

Kohima, November 8 (MExN): ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre organized three-day training on ‘Agricultural model village development through integrated farming system’ from November 6 to 8 at Sechü-Zubza. 


The training was organized under the STC funded project “Model village development for sustainable agriculture in Nagaland”. The project is undertaken to establish a replicable agricultural model village with sustainable agriculture. 


During the training, detailed theoretical and practical sessions were held on various aspects of agriculture and allied sectors. Dr Azeze Seyie, Dr Christy Sangma, Dr Rajesha G, Dr Mahak Singh, Dr Aabon W Yanthan and Dr Ph Romen Sharma, Scientists of ICAR Nagaland Centre was resource person during the training. Altogether, 50 farmers participated in the training programme. 


Various inputs in the form seeds of winter vegetables, vermi-bed, organic pesticide, micro-nutrient etc were also distributed under the project to the beneficiaries.
