Kuki Students’ Organization in Guwahati celebrates silver jubilee

Guwahati, September 14 (MExN): The Kuki Students’ Organization, Guwahati on September 14 celebrated its silver jubilee in Guwahati.

 

The organization was formed in the year 1994 by the then students drawn from various parts of Northeast India.

 

The event also welcomed the new students who have joined various institutions in the capital city of Assam.

 

As per a press release from Hemanta Kumar Nath, Guwahati, the event was graced by IAS officer LS Changsan, DP Haokip, Lamhao Doungel and Dr  Lamkholal Doungel as Chief Guest, Chief Host, Guest of Honor and functional President respectively.

 

Various cultural performances by the student community were presented during the event. The ex- members also attended the occasion.

 

The release added that students’ organization have been actively involved in various activities for upliftment of the students in the city.

 

The Chief Guest exhorted the students to excel in all spheres of life and to contribute for the development of the community.

 

She also asked the student community to lead a life of discipline, obedience and to have perseverance and to do well not only in studies but develop skills and explore avenues in other employment areas and contribute to the society.

 

It may be recalled that many of the students of this organization have prospered in various fields of life in various parts of the country and serving in various department and ministry in the country, the release added.
