The Federation of Khasi, Jaiñtia and Garo People (FKJGP) - Garo Hills zone has sought for more transparency in the interview process for the District Selection Committee (DSC) after complaints of nepotism and favouritism were reported to them.

In a press release, the FKJGP said that many cases of alleged nepotism and favouritism were brought to their notice.

“We would like to urge the selection committee to select candidates based on merit. We understand that candidates still apprehend that the same alleged cases may be repeated but we believe that the DSC West Garo Hills will be fair in selecting the candidates in the coming recruitment process for the posts,” said general secretary, Raksrang Sangma.

With several positions being advertised in West Garo Hills district, the FKJGP has urged the selection committee to conduct the job recruitment processes through audio or video so as to remove any apprehension of the aspiring candidates. Further, it wanted the entire process from written to personal interviews to be recorded.
