One person was killed and three others were injured in a head-on collision between a car and a container truck at 19 miles under National Highway-6 in Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya.
Police said the incident occurred on the night of November 8. The car, a Maruti 800, was proceeding towards Shillong when the container truck was driving in the wrong-way.
The deceased was identified as Koparsil Suting and the injured persons included Parksiar Suting, Alberil Suting while another occupant is yet to be identified.
The injured persons were immediately shifted to NEIGRIMS Hospital for medical treatment.
Reports said that Koparsil Suting succumbed to his injuries on reaching the hospital.
