Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): Students of MGM College, Dimapur along with their principal and faculty members left Nagaland on November 1 for a 10-day student exchange programme with St. Thomas College, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. On November 4 – feast day of Bishop Stephanos Mar Theodosius, the founder Bishop of MGM Dimapur – at Bhilai, the MGM College students presented special traditional songs and cultural performances.
A press release received here stated that the performances were widely appreciated and through the event the audience came to know more about Nagaland and its rich cultural background.
This is the first time that MGM College students are participating in this kind of programme in the industrial city, the release added. The principal of the college opined that the exchange programme will enhance teaching learning process and will open new ways of learning.
The team will reach Nagaland on November 10.
