Five Christian ministries in Mokokchung have come together to organise a revival for young people of Mokokchung town which is expected to be one of the biggest youth revivals in Mokokchung ever.
Organised under the theme “Focus,” the revival named “Youth Spiritual Festival” will be held at Imkongmeren Sports Complex from January 10 to 14 with three main speakers. The revival service will begin at 5:00 pm on all days of the 5-day spiritual festival with Nepal based Missionary Among Lemtur speaking on the first two evenings, MTBA Associate Pastor Temsuwati Kichu speaking on the third and renowned Missionary Lima Imsong speaking on the last two evenings.
In 2016, a similar 5-day youth revival was organized by the same organizers albeit in a smaller scale at Cosmos Hall but the organizers had to shift the venue to the Town Hall owing to overwhelming attendance. Many young people had to return without listening to the sermons as the Town Hall could accommodate only so much and the organizers, then, vowed to organize a bigger youth revival.
Director of Youth Alive Ministry, Jongpongmar said that there was an “unprecedented spiritual thirst among the young people of Mokokchung” and hence the youth spiritual festival. While expressing contentment that there were many prayerful young people in Mokokchung, he also called upon believers to uphold in their prayers the success of the ensuing youth spiritual festival.
Youth missionary Talinungsang Pongen meanwhile expressed gratitude to the churches in and around Mokokchung town for their support and cooperation with the various ministries towards organizing the youth spiritual festival.
Convener of the youth spiritual festival’s organising committee and director of Crossroad Christian Ministry, Manen Jamir added that all the planned needs for the youth revival has been met with the grace of God and while thanking all those who are actively working for the success of the revival, he thanked local artiste and entrepreneur Wati Imchen of Cosmos Entertainment Hall and music band Squadron, and Lanu, proprietor of Zip Sounds Dimapur, for their support and encouragement. He disclosed that the two well wishers encouraged them to organise the youth spiritual festival by coming forward to arrange necessary sound system and logistics for the event.
The organisers while inviting all the young people to attend the revival also solicited prayer and support from all believers.
The five ministries jointly organizing the event are Youth Alive Ministry, Crossroad Christian Ministry, Christ Church Ministry, Lydia Ministry and Amazing Grace Ministry. Convener of the organizing committee, Manen Jamir can be reached at 9612002392 for any query.
