Correction of ration card for Dimapur before Jan 31

Dimapur, January 11 (MExN): The Beneficiaries under the Priority Household/Antyodaya Anna Yojana of the National Food Security Act (NFSA) 2013 through the Urban Fair Price Shops and the village councils of Dimapur District whose ration cards are listed under the De-Duplication/Discrepancies list to report to the office of the Assistant Director, Food and Civil Supplies Dimapur for correction/rectification on or before January 31. “This will be the final notice and after the expiry of the required date, the Office will have the discretion to rectify/correct/delete the De-Duplication and Discrepancy list,” stated a press release from Food & Civil Supplies, Dimapur Asst Director N Jamonger Ao.

Meeting for R-day for Kohima held

Dimapur, January 11 (MExN): The meeting for work distribution and other arrangements for the ensuing Republic Day Celebration at New Secretariat Plaza was held on January 10 at DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima. The meeting discussed about the roles and responsibility for the celebration and distributed works to various concerned departments. DC Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS also informed the participants that rehearsal would begin from January 18.

State records 12,02,307 electors after 2019 revision

Dimapur, January 11 (MExN): The total electorate of the State according to the special summary revision, 2019 recorded 12,02,307 electors. A total of 606173 male electors and 596134 female electors were recorded. Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha, IAS stated that this was the final publication of photo electoral rolls relating to special summary revision, 2019 which was conducted for all the 60 Assembly Constituencies of the State by the concerned Electoral Registration Officers on January 10. The final electoral rolls can be checked/downloaded from the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland website at www.ceonagaland.nic.in.

Sükrünye Mini Hornbill fest

Kohima, January 11 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming Sükrünye Mini Hornbill festival at Phek town, the cultural committee has invited all the interested group(s) or individual(s) to join folk song competition. RNPO grieves loss of former President

Dimapur, January 11 (MExN): The Rongmei Naga People Organisation (RNPO) has express shock at the sudden demise of Ningtangpou Kamei, former president of Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) at JNIMS Imphal. “He devoted most of his lifetime for the cause of the Zeliangrong people. He was a man of integrity and farsighted leader. His contribution towards Zeliangrong cause will always be cherished, stated a condolence note from President G.Namgai and General Secretary Mathew Rongmei. The organization further extended condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that they find fortitude to bear this great loss at this hard time caused by the painful loss.

NCC mourns demise of member

Dimapur, January 11 (MExN): General (Retd) TM Keyho, President NNC has expressed sorrow over the sudden demise of General Bampei, GOC, EC, Naga army on January 4. “At this crucial period of time, his death has left a vacuum in the national leadership and defence of our land,” stated a condolence message. General Keyho shared in the grief with the bereaved family at this hour of national mourning and prayed that the Almighty grant solace and bless the kin. He further prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

LSU 4th Union Assembly on January 18
