AAY food grains for Kohima centre Kohima, February 27 (MExN): All the FPS /village councils of Kohima centre have been informed that the AAY food grains for two months will be released from February 29 to March 2 between 10:30 AM & 4:00 PM. All the concerned FPS/village councils have been directed to collect their respective quota within the stipulated period. This was stated in a release issued by Kapenlo Thong, assistant director, food & civil supplies, Kohima.  

ANGPTA extends support Dimapur, February 27 (MExN): The Zunheboto unit of All Nagaland Graduate Primary Teachers Association (ANGPTA) has extended its fullest support to the ongoing association fight for justice for Graduate primary teachers of Nagaland. The Unit General Secretary Hekuto Yeptho in a press note stated that it will not remain a “mute spectator” when attempts are being made to silence genuine demand of the ANGPTA and will give its best support to “fight for our rights.”  “We urge upon the concerned department to take cognizance of the situation and proper steps are put in place so as to ensure that Justice is delivered to ANGPTA,” it added.   Online registration facility for Army recruitment Dimapur, February 27 (MExN): In order to facilitate online registration for Army Recruitment Rally for the aspiring candidates, the Army Recruiting Office Rangapahar, Dimapur has opened four counters. Informing this in a press note, the Secretary Rajya Sainik Board and Director Sainik Welfare & Resettlement Nagaland Brig KK Roy Choudhury, SM, VSM (Retd) said these counters will be available on all working days during office hours and are free of cost. Those candidates who are unable to register their names on line are requested to avail this facility, it added. Online registration is mandatory for upcoming Army Recruitment Rally to be held from April 5-7 in Kohima.   BMS Jotsoma observes National Science Day Dimapur, February 27 (MExN): Baptist Mission School Jotsoma observed National Science Day by organising quiz competition on inventors and their inventions. In the senior category all together 35 students and in junior category 34 students participated in the competition. The programme was organized by the science club under the leadership of Zapusino and Kenisazo Nagi the science teachers of the school. Kihoto and Amujao Singh were the Quiz masters of the day. VJ Thomas, Headmaster of the school highlighted the importance of observing the National Science Day while giving away the prizes to the winners.   NLA Committee meeting Kohima, February 27 (MExN): The meeting of Select Committee on ‘Nagaland Prohibition of Gambling and Promotion & Regualtion of Online Games and Skills Bill, 2015’ has been fixed on March 2, 11AM at Committee Room of Assembly Secretariat.  A press note from Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat Additional Secretary K Sekhose informed that the meeting will examine the Bill and requested the concerned Committee Members to attend the aforementioned meeting without failure.   IRCSW free medical camp Wokha, February 27 (MExN): Around 120 villagers were treated by a team of Doctors and Medical personnel led by Dr. Enrithug Kikon CMO Wokha during a free medical camp conducted by IRCS Wokha at Hankvu on February 19. The DC and SP of Wokha Wokha were also present at the camp. A press note from A.
