The Leo Club of Dimapur in association with Indar Automobiles and under the Chairmanship of Pravin Jain took the charge of drinking water project by providing water to people during the immersion of idols in the Dhansiri River on the occasion of Durga Puja.


Aboi Town Youth Transformation Crusade programme 2018 under the aegis of Aboi Town Baptist Pastors Fellowship was held from October 11 to 14 at Aboi Town Baptist Church. Rev Toshi Longkumer, missionary Dimapur, Anungla and CSH Mongnyei, Pastor were the speakers of the programme. The Youth Transformation Crusade was held under the theme “Discover the new direction in Jesus Christ.” It was attended by 2500 youths from seven Baptist churches.


Kohima Assam Rifles Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted a lecture on “World Rabies day” at Jotsoma Science College, Kohima on October 18. The lecture focused on imparting knowledge about Rabies, its prevention and causes. Rabies Day is celebrated as part of an International awareness campaign throughout the world. During the lecture, precaution and action taken on dog bites were discussed. 30 NCC Cadets and 1 teacher attended the event.


Ghokhuvi villagers cleared the road blocks caused by natural calamities between Sukhai village and Tizu Bridge. In a press statement by Satoi Range Students Union (SRSU) President Nikato T Ayemi and General Secretary Homugha H Achumi stated that “11 villages undergo hardships and tensions at times when the road is completely cut off as there is no alternate route to connect to Zunheboto.” Therefore, the Union has requested the department concerned to look into the matter.


Nursery students of GMS Marepkong, Mokokchung were taken out for an outing to Eco Park, Mokokchung Village under the guidance and supervision of their class teachers on October 17. The day trip for the children was organized and sponsored by the teachers. (Morung Photo)


The new NST service for Kohima to Kandinu was flagged off by Divisional Manager Vikaho and Kevi Sekhose, Station Superintendent NST Kohima at Kandinu on October 16.


Durga Puja Committee New Market, Dimapur held a Durga Puja program where an orchestra band from Hazipur, Bihar entertained the public. Committee member, Lal Mohan stated that an RO drinking water capacity of 2600 liter per day was installed at New market for the public.
