DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 9 (MExN): A five member team of the All Nagaland Amateur Muaythai Association will be departing for Bangalore to participate in the 17th National Muathai Championship for seniors.
The championship will commence from November 16 to 19 at MTI National HQ NO 287, Umerbagh Extension, Bangalore-78. It may be noted that as per IFMA rules there are two divisions in senior championship.
Division A is for senior players who have experience and have participated in any of the earlier senior National Championships. Division B is for players contesting for the first time. There will be 14 weight categories in each division.
The Nagaland team is being led by Botovi Achumi, Manager-cum-Coach, General Secretary, Nagaland Muaythai Association.
The player in senior ‘A’ category includes Beching Akai and T Konyak while enior ‘B’ includes Tohuto Achumi, Bharat Kumar Bisoyi and Rajiblochan Nayar.
