NSCN (IM) leadership meets Ao Senden

Dimapur, October 23 (MExN): The Ao Senden has asserted that it is with the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) and hopes for an early solution to the Indo-Naga conflict.  

This was stated in a press release from the NSCN (IM)’s MIP that held a Consultative Meeting with the Ao Senden leaders on Tuesday in Dimapur. The NSCN (IM) was led by Hukavi Yepthomi, Kilo Kilonser, and Lt. Gen. Anthony Shimray, Military Cross, Longvibu, Naga Army.  

The two sides deliberated on the ongoing Indo-Naga Peace Talks.  

“The discourse was harmonious due to the free exchange of ideas and views between the civil society leaders and the GPRN,” stated the press release.  

The Kilo Kilonser elaborated how “the Indian government came to recognize the unique history and situation of the Nagas and signed the historic Framework Agreement with the Government of India on August 3, 2015.”  

The Longvibu appreciated the Ao Senden leadership for their “practical wisdom to build a stronger Naga nation.” The NSCN (IM) leadership hoped that “such a bonding will certainly bring forth an unconditional love and understanding among all the Naga brethren.”  

The group expected the “same commitment and dedication from our Naga civil bodies until the final solution is arrived at.”
