DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 9 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) Lotha Region has reminded M/s. CS Infra Construction Pvt. Ltd., who is the contractor for works along the Wokha-Merapani Road to respect the sentiments of the public and bring out a good and all weather-road along the stretch.
In a letter to the firm, Kilonser/CAO, NSCN (IM) Lotha Region, Mozamo Ngullie said that the firm had failed to respond to the Lotha Hoho's invitations aimed at seeking the opportunity to foster mutual understanding and to extend necessary co-operations in the ongoing Wokha - Merapani road works.
“However, due to your adman attitudes to the initiatives of the Hoho, it was left with no option but compelled to seek legal proceedings against your firm to ensure that, such an important project does not get wasted away with poor workmanship,” the letter stated.
It meanwhile pointed out that the same road is to be constructed with “5.5 meters carraigway, 8.85 meters of formation (29 feet), soldier having 1.25 meters on hill side and 1.50 meters on valley side with 0.6 Meters for drainage including lay bys for emergency parking.”
The letter expressed surprise that the road works is being undertaken in a hidden manner thereby prompting speculations in the minds of the public to doubt the fate of the road project. Pointing out that this road is the lifeline of the district, it asserted that the firm should not fail in their duties.
It reminded the firm to avail the help and co-operation of the Hobo and all concerned “to avoid the laws taking its one course of action.” The NSCN (IM) Lotha Region meanwhile assured co-operation for success of the project.
