Peren, August 8 (MExN): The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Peren district was held on August 6 in the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner, Peren. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Namri Nchang, Advisor for Irrigation & Flood Control, stated a DIPR report.
Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman of DPDB Peren, S. Tainiu welcomed the newly posted officer Tino Chang, ADC Jalukie. The board reviewed the previous meeting minute regarding establishment of foundation centre for differently abled persons on Jalukie. It was approved and recommended by the board.
The proposal for up-gradation of Ikiesingram GMS to GHS and Ramzie Primary School to Elementary was deferred to the next DPDB Meeting.
The board also approved the formation of officers club in Peren, considering the need of the officers posted in the district to have a common platform and to promote coordination and mutual understanding in the district. The club will be formed under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner.
The board also discussed and reviewed to adhere to the standing order for banning of logging, hunting and fishing within the district. The department of Tourism highlighted their departmental activities through powerpoint presentation.
