A reception programme in honour of the teachers, School Managing Board members and students of Zeliangrong Heraka School Tening held in Kohima on June 28.

Dimapur, June 29 (MExN): A reception programme in honour of the teachers, School Managing Board members and students of Zeliangrong Heraka School Tening under Peren district was organised by the Kohima Nagar Samity of Janjati Vikas Samity Nagaland (JVSN) at multi utility hall, Gorkha Public Panchayat complex Chandmari, Kohima on June 28.
The occasion was graced by Er Kropol Vitsu, Advisor for Prison, Printing & Stationery, Nagaland as the special guest, stated a press release issued by Santu Thapa, State Executive Member, JVSN. The programme began with Deep Prajwalan by dignitaries and Saraswati Vandana by students followed by patriotic song, cultural dance, special number, speeches and presentation of school report etc.
Advisor Kropol Vitsu expressed happiness for getting opportunity to interact with the team from Zeliangrong Heraka School Tening managed by JVSN affiliated to Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram. The school located in Peren district of Nagaland, bordering with Assam and Manipur was established in 1984. Students from 25 villages of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland have enrolled in the school and most of the students are from poor and underprivileged families. The teachers are honorary social workers, the press release stated.
Advisor Kropol expressed happiness to learn that the school has secured 100% result in the HSLC examination of NBSE consecutively for the last 13 years since 2011 among 34 high schools of Peren district. He congratulated the student, teachers, SMB members and parents. He also congratulated the school and teachers for receiving awards at district and other levels. He said that from the programme he could know more about Heraka, its values and contribution of Heraka workers.
A report of the Zeliangrong Heraka School was presented by Hiateibui Zeliang, Headmaster of the School. The programme was chaired by Ariakge with welcome address by Pawan Ladha and vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Lozhoho Khanyo, General Secretary, JVSN. The programme concluded with National Anthem led by students of the school followed by Dinner.
