Wokha, March 1 (MExN): National Programme for Prevention and Control of Deafness (NPPCD) under the establishment of Chief Medical Officers Staff conducted screening camp for hearing at GMS Wokha village on February 28 and GMS Sector ‘C’ Wokha town on March 1 with District Nodal Officer and Senior ENT Specialist Dr Y Renbonthung Lotha as resource person, assisted by Audiometrist Surendro Singh from District hospital Longleng District. A press release issued by Mhonbeni Ezung, Media Officer, NHM said the camp was attended by students and staff of GPS & GMS Wokha village, GMS Sector ‘C’ Wokha town, Council members, elders etc. About 97 students and 20 others were screened for hearing during the camp. Hearing Aids were provided to the required patients after hearing test. Deputy CMO Dr Zuben Kikon visited both the camps and encouraged the screening camp team.
