DIMAPUR, JUNE 7 (MExN): Mokokchung Police while conducted vehicle checking and frisking near Alichen on June 6 intercepted a bike without registration number and apprehended one person n charge of possessing illegal arms.
The arrested person have been identified as one “Leacy” Amento of NSCN (Niki) hailing from Maromi village under Zunheboto district. The police recovered from his possession one .32 country made pistol with magazine, one .32 live round cartridge, two .22 live round cartridges, one writing pad of the office of Sumi Region Leacy Supervisor GPRN, work permit of GPRN Ministry of Kilo Affairs, signed demand slips of GPRN and one small note pad containing tax rate and other information.
In this connection, a case has been registered for further investigation, a press release issued by PRO Mokokchung Police stated.
