1 Nagaland Air Squadron NCC marks 93rd Indian Air Force Day

1 Nagaland Air Squadron NCC commemorated the 93rd anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF) Day at a ceremony held at Eastern Christian College, Dimapur on October 8.

DIMAPUR, October 8 (MExN): The 1 Nagaland Air Squadron NCC commemorated the 93rd anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF) Day at a ceremony held at Eastern Christian College, Dimapur on Wednesday.

The event, themed ‘Guardians of Tomorrow: Indomitable Spirit of the IAF,’ paid tribute to the valour and commitment of the IAF, a release said.

The programme was chaired by Cadet Livitoli H. Sumi and featured a welcome address by Flying Officer Vizevonu Chirhah. Dr Dominic K. Khanyo, Principal of Eastern Christian College, greeted the gathering and commended the NCC for its discipline and role in nation-building.

Wing Commander Herojit Singh, Commanding Officer of the squadron, delivered an exhortation, inspiring cadets to uphold the IAF’s values of ‘integrity, service, and excellence.’

A special presentation by NCC cadets from Patkai Christian College was also featured, highlighting inter-institutional camaraderie.
The event concluded with the renditions of the Air Force Song and the NCC Song.
