1 new COVID-19 case in Nagaland 

Dimapur, May 6 (MExN): Breaking its 12-day streak of zero COVID-19 cases, Nagaland detected one new case in Kohima on Friday. The state has 1 active COVID case.  The new infection was detected through ‘others, self test, random’ testing, according to the daily health bulletin issued by the state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme. A total of 91 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

Overall, the tally of infections in the state stands at 35,489 out of which 33,244 people have so far recovered from the disease. The death toll due to the infection remains at 760—four of which were classified as ‘non Covid deaths (with COVID-19 positivity).’ Altogether 1,484 patients have migrated to other states, the IDSP data stated.
