10 NCC cadets participated in RDC

Kohima, February 11 (MExN): Ten 10 NCC Cadets (5 girls & 5 boys) of Nagaland (NCC Gp-Kohima) were among the 160 NCC cadets of North Eastern Region who participated in the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC) in New Delhi from January 1 to 31. Seven of the cadets are from St Joseph's College, Jakhama under 1 NL Girls' BN NCC and 24 NL (I) COY NCC, Kohima respectively, and three cadets from Kohima Science College, Jotsoma under No.1 NL Air SQN (FLG) NCC-Dimapur. Captain Regina Razousinuo, Associate NCC Officer of St Joseph’s College, Jakhama also attended the camp.


North Eastern Region has bagged the first position in Flag Area Competition and secured second in Line Area Competition and third in Prime Minister's Rally March past Competition. JUO Vinole, SGT Deepak and CPL Karipong also took part in the selection tests for Youth Exchange Programme abroad the result of which is awaited, a press release from Regina Razousinuo informed.


Col KS Dhindsa, Commanding Officer of 1 Mizoram BN NCC, was the contingent Commander of NCC North Eastern Region Contingent for this Republic Day Camp. 2070 cadets from 29 States and seven Union Territories of the country participated in this camp that culminated with Prime Minister's Rally on January 28.
