Dimapur, October 30 (MExN): The province level jubilee celebration of Dimapur Salesian priests was held at Salesian College of Higher Education on October 28. The 10 Jubilarians included Fr. Kakkanatt Chacko, Fr. Tom Karthik, Fr. Manianchira Sebatian, Fr. Vattoth Thomas, who marked their golden jubilee of Priesthood.
Fr. Kallarackal Job and Fr. Menamparampil George celebrated their Golden Jubilee of Religious Profession, while Fr. Elow Samuel, Fr. Anthony Christudoss, Fr. Salew Peter, and Fr. Kalluvelil Thomas attained their Silver Jubilee of Religious Profession, informed a press release.
The celebration commenced with Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr. Tom Karthik, followed by the felicitation programme. Welcoming the gathering, Provincial of Dimapur Province, Fr. Nestor Guria said it is more blessed to give than to receive. He thanked the Jubilarians for their selfless sacrifices and hard work in serving the people of God. In his multi-media presentation, Social Communication Councilor of IND, Fr. Farcisius Toppo presented short bio-sketch of the Jubilarians. Other items that added much colour to the event were a choir piece by Christ King Parish Kohima, dances by DBHSS Dimapur, Bosco College and Salesian College.
