The 101 conference of the Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA) Executive Council & office bearers culminated today at the Wokha Town Baptist Church, marking the conclusion of a three-day gathering. The event saw the induction of new office bearers and executive members for the 2025-2026 tenure. Rev Dr LL Kikon of Mekokla Baptist Church was installed as the new president, with Mhachan Odyuo from Changpang Village Baptist Church as vice president. Samuel Ovung, from Wokha Town Baptist Church, was appointed General Secretary, and Yanpvuo Shitiri of Kukidolong Baptist Church as Assistant General Secretary.
The new executive members include Sholumo Ngullie (Meriyan Baptist Church), Y. Chumbenthung Murry (Wokha Town Baptist Church), Lichilo Lotha (Totsu Baptist Fellowship), Prof Y Ben Lotha (Nagaland University, Kohima Campus), and Dr. S. Ekonthung Ezung (Eastern Theological College, Jorhat, Assam).
During the event, Prof Y Ben Lotha, Department of History and Archaeology, Nagaland University Kohima campus, delivered a thought-provoking message emphasizing the importance of unity within the community. He urged the congregation to carry patience, respect for leadership, and unity, which he believes are essential for both personal and community growth. He also highlighted the need for greater academic dedication, especially in Lotha literature, to preserve the community's cultural identity and promote higher education. Lotha stressed the importance of academic discipline, urging students to rededicate themselves to their studies and pursue excellence.
Speaking on the conference's theme, drawn from Psalm 37:5, Rev LL Kikon urged believers to commit their lives to God and to work together in unity. He called on the community to uphold the goals set for 2025, including fostering unity and rededicating efforts to advance the mission of the association. He also wished the congregation a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

The valedictory service concluded with an invocation prayer by Yanpvuo Shitiri, pastor of Kukidolong Baptist Church, and a benediction prayer by Benathung Humtsoe, pastor of Old Tssori Baptist Church.
