Kohima, November 27 (MExN): A three day long 10th Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament 2023 (Men & Women) will start from November 28 at 10:00 AM at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Nagaland’s youth resources & sports advisor S. Keoshu Yimkhiung will grace the inaugural function at 10:00 AM.
The tournament will be held under the aegis of Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland in collaboration with Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA).
KDVA requested all the officials & players to report to the venue by 9:00 AM.
14 teams register for tournament
Altogether, 6 women’s team and 8 men’s team will vie for the coveted champion titles.
Men’s team in Pool A includes; Kiruphema YO (A), Shürho Mountain Club Kigwema, Japfüphiki Volleyball Club and Kiruphema YO (B). Pool B-Lhisemia Thino Kohima, Sumi United Dimapur, Team Ace Kohima and Senapati Sporting Club.
Women’s category fixture: Pool A- Senapati Sporting Club, Phek District Volleyball Association and MADFA Club Dimapur. Pool B- Mystic Club Kohima, Peren District Volleyball Association and Charmers Club Kohima
In the opening match in men’s category, defending champion Kiruphema Youth Organization will play with Shürho Mountain Club Kigwema.
In women’s category, defending champion Senapati Sporting Club will face Phek District Volleyball Association in the opening match.
