11 new cases, state COVID-19 tally at 5,957

Dimapur, September 28 (MExN): A total of 11 new COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Nagaland on Monday, along with 47 cases of recovery. According to the state Health and Family Welfare Department, six of the new cases were from Kohima, four from Tuensang and one from Dimapur. Among the 47 recoveries, 45 were reported from Kohima while two were from Dimapur district. “Out of the 5,957 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 4,897. The active cases are 1,002 and there have been 12 deaths,” Principal Secretary, Home Abhijit Sinha said in his daily COVID-19 briefing.  As per the severity of symptoms, 964 active cases are asymptomatic, 30 active cases are mild, seven active cases are moderate and one active case is on ventilator, Sinha informed. Further, out of the 5,957 positive cases, 2,801 cases were among armed forces/ police, 1,482 cases among returnees, 1,334 cases from traced contacts and 340 cases were frontline workers.
