Longleng, October 24 (MExN): The 11th Phom Monyu Open Volleyball Tournament (PMOVT) organised by the Longleng Town Students Union (LTSU) commenced today at Public Ground Longleng. The tournament will conclude on October 27.
A DIPR report informed that the opening ceremony was graced by Y Shingli Phom, PA to Deputy Commissioner Longleng, who emphasised the importance of sportsmanship and the decline in moral character. He also urged the players and those gathered to avoid the use of drugs and alcohol and work cooperatively to completely eliminate the use of drugs in the town.
Former LTSU President O Phomngai Mukho narrated the roots of the tournament and encouraged the participants to represent the game with true sportsmanship.
