The three day long 4th edition of Asia Music Summit 2024, today ended with a historic Asia Music Summit Kohima Declaration during a grand finale at Regional Centre of Excellence for Music & Performing Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma near Kohima.

The declaration was signed for the promotion of Music and the Music Fraternity of Asia and beyond.
The signatories of this declaration commits to Promote Perpetual Peace, Everlasting Amity and Cooperation that “will contribute to Mutual Strength, Solidarity and Closer Relationship.”
“We place on record our appreciation to the Government of Nagaland, Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) and MusiConnect Asia for making this Declaration possible at the 4th Asia Music Summit 2024 held at Kohima, Nagaland, India,” the declaration stated. The declaration was signed by Theja Meru (chairman, TaFMA, Government of Nagaland, India), Jason Mayall (UK/Japan), Alejandro Orellana Quiroz (Santiago De Chile), Alfredo Caxaj (Ontario, Canada), Fabio Scopino (Italy), Lama Hazboun (Jordan ), Poom Piyasu Komaradat (Thailand), Sungchun Lee (South Korea), Franki Raden (Indonesia), RijuTuladhar (Nepal), Sonam Dorji (Hidden Kingdom World Music Festival, Bhutan), Mehreen Mahmud (Bangladesh) and Hovithal N Sothu (Project Director, TaFMA, Govt of Nagaland, India).
It was signed in the presence of Kaushik Dutta, President, MusiConnect Asia and Abu Metha, Advisor, Asia Music Summit 2024 Core Committee.
Rio welcomes Kohima declaration
Nagaland’s Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio welcomed the historic Kohima Declaration signed by representatives of Festivals from 12 countries for promotion of music & the music fraternity of Asia & beyond.“It commits to promote peace, amity & cooperation,” Rio twitted.
The 4th Asia Music Summit, which concluded today, is an initiative of MusiConnect Asia and hosted and co-organised by Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), Government of Nagaland.
The Summit created new partnerships within Asia and the rest of the World.It has been dubbed as one of the biggest opportunities for the musicians, agents, artist managers to congregate and interact with luminaries from the cultural music industry, festival directors, talent buyers in three days of panel discussions, live performance and one to one meetings.
