A 12-year-old boy, originally from Nongalbibra in South Garo Hills (SGH), went missing from the town of Tura where he was living with his maternal aunt and studying in a school in the town.
The 12-year-old, identified as Bilcham N Marak, is a student of Class VII and stayed at Rongkhon Songittal locality in Tura. He was last seen at about 7:00 pm on August 10 before his disappearance.
A missing report was filed by the relatives on Sunday evening, August 11 at the Tura Police Station.
According to close relatives of the missing boy, he was last seen playing with his friends the whole day and returned back home after one of his aunts saw him near the Chandmary field in Tura.
Confirming the incident, the superintendent of police, WGH, Dr MGR Kumar said, “We have received inputs of the boy going missing. All PCRs across the state have been informed. Hopefully, we should be able to locate him quickly.”
