The Nagaland government has collected Rs 9,90,670 as fines till June 5, ever since the national lockdown to curb COVID-19 was imposed in the State.
According to data published on the state COVID-19 dashboard, altogether 1203 violations of lockdown/curfew orders were reported as of June 5 and a total of 1505 arrests were made during this period.
Out of the arrests, 1500 were categorized as ‘other cases’ while the rest were ‘social media cases.’
As of Saturday, police have registered 89 first information reports (FIRs) and 972 non-FIR cases throughout the State.
A total of 601 vehicles were also seized for various violations according to data on the portal.
