12th Aries Rifle & Pistol Shooting C’ship from Jan 3

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 12 (MExN): The Nagaland Rifle Association in collaboration with the Aries Rifle & Pistol Shooting Academy will be organizing the 12th Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Championship in Small Bore Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun at the Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Academy Khelo India Centre, NST Colony and Aries Sports Complex, Bamunphukuri A, from January 3 to 8. 

This championship will be organized and conducted by the NRA in collaboration with Aries Rifle And Pistol Shooting Academy Khelo India Centre, Dimapur as per the rules and regulation of NRAI match book 2018 amended 2011.

Participation is open to competitors from Aries rifle & Pistol Shooting Academy Khelo India Centre, Dimapur, Dzukuo Rifle Shooting Club, Kohima, Naga Shooting Sports Club, Chumukedima, Aonokpu Rifle Shooting Club, Mokokchung and Ladybird School Shooting Academy, Mokokchung.

Shooters, who are below 21 years, 19 years and 16 years of age as on 3rd January 2022 will be considered under the category of junior, youth respectively for this championship. Shooters below the age of 12 years are not allowed to participate in fire arm matches during the championship.

Those shooters, who have not received/applied for their shooter ID number must immediately visit NRAI website www.thenrai.in to check status/apply for their Shooter ID number.

Shooters, who are already in possession of shooter ID, are not required to apply for fresh ID registration and entries will be accepted on existing registration. Shooters who achieve MQS as per Rule 1.4 of NRAI Match Book 2021 will be eligible to participate.

Shooters furnishing incorrect information shall be debarred from taking part in any championship for two years. 

A press release from the organizers informed that shooting kit (clothing & equipment) of the competitors during the competition will be strictly according to ISSF rules.

Due to covid-19 conditions, shooters are requested to strictly follow SOPs as laid down by the Government of India/Nagaland State Government. Copy of the same is available at www.thenrai.in

All shooters/coaches have been asked to undergo a COVID-19 test prior to entering the range for training and submit a negative report from a government certified lab to the NRA. The report should not be older than 48 hours from the date of first entry at the range.
