Kohima, September 26 (MExN): The 12th edition of NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy is slated to be held from October 1 to 31 at Kohima Local Ground. Organized annually by Angami Students’ Union (ASU), in reminiscence and tribute to the two students’ comrades, this years’ edition will also commemorate with the 25th anniversary of the slain martyrs Lt. Kekuojalie Sachü & Lt. Vikhozo Yhoshü, who made the supreme sacrifice in the year 1986, while on the duty call of the Naga Students’ Federation in its fight for justice and rights of the students’ community..
This year’s edition will boast more than 50 local teams led by top outfits such as the last edition finalist – Nagaland Police (Defending Champion) , Lifesports, Chedema Village Students’ Union, Excel United (2009 Champion), New Market, Lamkang Students’ Union(Manipur), 13th AR, Addax Club & more. While Eastern Naga Students’ Association and three teams from Manipur and one from West Bengal have also confirmed their participation. While it is informed that registration has been closed, the fixture will be drawn on the September 28 at 2:00 PM at Kohima Local Ground.
All team managers have been informed to turn up for the same and also submit flags on the same day.
