13 more recover for COVID-19 in Nagaland

After the highest single-day spike of 71 cases in the morning, there was good news at the other end as Nagaland reported 13 more recoveries from COVID-19 on July 13. 


“13 COVID-19 Positive Patients have recovered. 10 from COVID-19 Care Centre, Jakhama, 2 from Dimapur & 1 from Kohima. However, they will be kept under strict surveillance,” informed an evening update by Nagaland’s Health and Family Welfare Minister, S Pangnyu Phom on Twitter.


Earlier in the day, the State registered the highest single-day spike of 71 new COVID-19 positive cases.


“Out of 816 sample tested, 71 new +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed,” Pangnyu updated in the morning. 

 

Out of 71 cases, 60 were from Dimapur, 7 from Mon and 4 were from Kohima, he added.


Accordingly, the total number of cases also crossed 800 mark in the state to reach 845 on July 13, up from 774 on July 12. It included 518 active and 327 recovered cases. 


However, with the latest update, the State’s COVID-19 cases as of 4:44 PM on July 13 stood at: Positive: 845; Active: 505; and Recovered: 340.
