Dimapur, May 1 (MExN): The People’s Democratic Alliance’s glamour for making political appointments and creating new posts has not dissipated yet with 13 party functionaries being conferred either with Cabinet Minister or Minister of State status today.
According to notifications issued by Cabinet Secretariat Cell, Government of Nagaland date May 1, the Governor of Nagaland has inducted 3 persons in PDA “in the status of a Cabinet Minister with immediate effect.” They were appointed as Chairman, Co-Chairman and Member Secretary of the ruling PDA.
Ten others were also appointed as members in the Alliance with the status of “Minister of State with immediate effect,” another notification stated (see table).
According to reliable sources, the notifications signed by Cabinet Secretary Temjen Toy and shared heavily on various social media platforms on May 1, were genuine. The appointees are top party functionaries of various political parties that constitute the present PDA Government in Nagaland.
