1357 Hindi teachers without salaries for three months

DIMAPUR, JULY 31 (MExN): The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANTHU) on Wednesday stated that the salaries of 1357 Hindi teachers 2012-2013 batch have been kept pending for three consecutive months of May, June and July.  A press release issued by ANTHU lamented that most of the affected teachers are posted in remote areas where mode of communication are poor and they (teachers) are the sole bread earners in the family, looking after their children’s education and other family expenses.  In this connection, the Union has appealed the Department of School Education and the Finance Department to look into the matter and take steps to release the pending salaries at the earliest.
