The first session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) will start from March 13 till 26. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is likely to prove his majority on the floor of the House on the same day. Earlier, Nagaland’s Governor PB Acharya on March 6 had requested Rio to prove his majority on the floor of the House on or before March 16. Pro-tem Speaker Mmhonlumo Kikon will preside over the session. Election of NLA speaker to the newly constituted 13th NLA is also scheduled for March 13. Source told The Morung Express that People's Democratic Alliance (PDA) has nominated Er. Vikho-o Yhoshu of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) while Naga People’s Front (NPF) nominated Dr. Imtiwapang for election to the post of NLA speaker.
